Musée du Débarquement

The Arromanches Landing Museum is one of the first museums dedicated to the Battle of Normandy. It was inaugurated in 1954 by the President of the Republic René Coty.

He tells of the liberation of Normandy in the form of windows devoted to the Nations who fought on the battlefield. As such, a large showcase is devoted to free French forces.

This museum is located in the city that hosted the first artificial port of the D-Day. The museum explains this formidable technical challenge with a very well-made model and film.
Outside, you will see several examples of heavy equipment of the time.
